Coloring Book - Color Me Courageous

The drawings in this book, which highlight some of the most beloved Twin Cities landmarks and locations, were created by Minneapolis youth in support of courageous heARTS—a youth-led nonprofit art studio fueled by the transformative power of art.
Your purchase provides stipends for our Creative Community Apprentices, youth ages 16-24 who staff our studio. During their nine-month apprenticeship, youth learn about heARTS' four core approaches - expressive arts, restorative practices, people-centered approaches, and trauma-informed care.

ARTIST'S STORY:
Each page of this beautiful coloring book was created by Minneapolis youth in support of courageous heARTS - a local non-profit founded by Lindsay Walz, a youth worker and survivor of the 35W Bridge collapse.
After nearly losing her life in the currents of the Mississippi River, her dream of opening a youth center came into unquestioned focus. Five years later, after healing from a broken back and broken spirit—using art-making as a guide—she leaned on her courageous heart to make that dream a reality.
